Day 9
SHOOT
Psalm 18:33-34
He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights. He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

SHOOT is the moment of bold decision, the instant when vision meets action and potential becomes reality. In football, a player may dribble, pass, or create chances, but victory comes when someone takes the shot. In life, God calls us to the same cour-age; to take decisive steps of faith, to aim at the goals He has placed before us, and to release what He has put in our hands without fear. Destiny advances when you dare to shoot.
A shot requires confidence. The angle may be tight, defenders may press, and the goalkeeper may intimidate, but champions trust their training and take the chance. Life mirrors this moment. Opportunities may look small, timing may feel imperfect, and fear may whisper “wait,” yet God calls you to believe in what He has equipped you for. “Do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded” (Hebrews 10:35).
In football, players who hesitate lose opportunities. The window opens and closes in seconds. So, it is with life, great doors do not remain open forever. When God stirs your heart, when vision burns within you, when clarity comes, you must step and strike. Delayed obedience becomes missed purpose. “Whatever He tells you to do, do it” (John 2:5).
To shoot well, a player must have aim. Footballers train their accuracy so that when the moment comes, they hit the target. In life, your aim is set by God’s Word. Your goals, dreams, and direction must be aligned with His voice. This keeps your shots purposeful, not random. “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:6).
A powerful shot often requires overcoming pressure. Players shoot through tackles, noise, fear of failure, and the weight of expectation. In your own journey, you must shoot through doubt, past disappointment, and beyond the opinions of others. God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power. “The righteous are as bold as a lion” (Proverbs 28:1).
And when you shoot, you leave the rest to God. Not every shot becomes a goal, but every attempt grows confidence, builds courage, and brings you closer to breakthrough. Even missed attempts teach you, shape you, and position you for the next opportunity. Champions do not fear missing; they fear not trying. “Though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again” (Proverbs 24:16).
Ultimately, SHOOT is about finishing. Taking the step. Releasing the gift. Acting on the vision God placed inside you. Faith is not merely believing; it is striking the ball with trust that God has prepared the net ahead. Like Paul, you press toward the goal, knowing Christ is your strength and victory. “I can do all things through Him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13).
So, aim high, trust God, and shoot with courage. Because every bold strike you take in faith carries the possibility of eternal impact, and one decisive shot can change the entire match of your destiny.
